Welcome, friends!

Welcome to my little corner of the internet. This is honestly my first time blogging of any kind, so this might get a little weird. Hope that’s okay.

I wanted to introduce myself, my adventures, and my family a little bit. You know, to help put a face to the name behind the short stories you’ve been reading. 😀 If you care to read, that’s awesome. If not, that’s totally cool too – go read some stories!

Anyway, I’ve always really enjoyed reading the personal bits from the newsletters of my favorite authors. In part because they’re awesome people, but also because it’s cool to see that they’re regular folks (just like me) that never gave up on their dreams. It’s so motivating. On days when all of my writing sounds worse than a steaming hot dumpster fire, it helps to know that it isn’t some magical, out-of-this world secret ingredient that gets others published – it’s just straight up grit and tenacity.

I’ll give you $10 dollars and a corn chip to prove me otherwise.

Anywho –

My name is Liliam (Lili) Sandoval and this is my husband, Christian!

We eloped in August, so I love saying ‘husband’ whenever I get the chance. In fact, I imagine conversations will go something like this for a while: “Excuse me, do you know the time?” No, but let me ask my *husband*. “Oh hey, I love your dress, where did you get it from?” Actually, my *husband* bought it for me, let’s ask him.

And in case you’re wondering, yes, marriage is awesome. I married my best friend. 🙂

Below, you’ll find our two furry sons, Mr. President and Ferrari.

They’re gorgeous, I know. They’re also 10 years apart. Mr. President turns 2 years old on August 8th and Ferrari just turned 12 on May 25th. They don’t exactly adore one another, but they live peacefully (for the most part).

Our little family lives in Houston, TX! So if you ever spot us in the same coffee shop as you, please say hello! We tend to stay in our little caves, but when we join society that’s where you’ll usually find us because we’re fortunate to work from our laptops. Mr. S is a super cool and super smart finance guy, while I’m usually working on my books or on our Christian apparel company, Remnant Fire.

I’ve written mostly short stories in the fantasy genre, which you can find free to read here, but I also recently published a children’s book of 3-minute everyday prayers, which you can find more information about here. I hope you enjoy them! All feedback is welcome 🙂

I think this is enough for now, but I’ll end with 4 cool/weird tidbits about myself.

• I went skydiving for my birthday
• I once grew a squash the size of my forearm (but twice as thick)
• I lived in Turkey, Georgia (the country), and Ukraine for 9 months
• I crossed a desert in Egypt just to see a movie
